It's December! Can you believe it? I've been looking forward to this month ever since summer was over. December just makes me jolly - and I don't believe anyone who says it doesn't do the same to them.
So this year my uni schedule has been ridiculously busy and I haven't managed to get nearly enough posts up on my blog. So here's where it changes. This week I finish my semester, and have the whole of December to get into the Christmassy mood (even more). So surely that means I'll have plenty of time to blog? I hope so! So here's where I challenge myself, to take full part in Blogmas and get a post up every single day up till the big day. And if that's not enough then I'm also taking part in Vlogmas! My sister and I have decided to start up a wee youtube channel and start it off with lots of festive goodness. So please if you could, subscribe to our channel and be ready for Vlogmas Day one to go up tomorrow - Emily & Eleanor.

To start off Blogmas, I've decided to do the Christmas Tag to get those festive juices flowing.

 1.  What's your favourite Holiday movie?

I think we can all say that summer is now a fond memory and it's time to bring out the box of woolly hats and jumpers that were forgotten about for the last few months. The leaves are all turning brown and falling off the tree, and there is definetly a chill in the air that wasn't there before.

I found this tag on Fee's blog, Makeup Savvy and you can see her post Here or check out Georgina's original post Here. It feels very fitting, since I'm currently curdled up with a mug of hot chocolate, to give a go at answering these questions myself!

1. Okay we're talking coffees- what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks, Costa, Cafe Nero etc.?

Now I'm not a coffee or tea drinker, so often I just go for the classic Hot Chocolate but when the seasonal drinks menu comes out (and right now I'm really excited about the countdown to red cups in Starbucks) I like to try the different flavours of hot chocolate, especially the peppermint flavour.

2. Accessories what do you otp for- scarf, gloves, boots?

All of the above! I love boots with fluffy socks underneath to keep my toes all warm and cosy. But definitely scarves, and the bigger the better. There's nothing better than pulling a knitted scarf over your ears and cheeks when there's a cold wind.

3. Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during autumn?

When it reaches autumn I definitely feels it's time to start listening to the Christmas songs- I actually have already started playing some when I've been driving about. It's never too early to get into the Christmas spirit!

 4. Perfume- what's your favourite scent this time of year?

My perfume doesn't really change throughout the year in all honesty. I don't wear as much of my floral smelling perfumes during autumn, but tend to just wear whatever is at hand.

5. Candles- what scents will you be burning this season?

I love anything that smells like cinnamon, it just makes the house smell so Christmassy. Or something like toffee apple, anything that makes the house feel cosy.

6. What do you love most about autumn?

I love when the heating gets turned on in the house, and you come in from the cold and are hit with the warmth. I also love cuddling up at night in my winter jammies with a blanket and watching a movie, especially since it gets darker earlier.

7. Favourite make up look?

I tend to stick with my average everyday look which is natural colours. Although I do think that autumn is all about the flushed cheeks and looking fresh from the cold wind.

8. What are you looking forward to most in autumn?

I'm excited about the build up to Christmas. I love when the nights draw in and the shops start to put up their Christmas displays.
I also am very excited about Halloween, I love a good dress up party, and I'm particularly excited about it this year for some reason!

Feel free to also use these questions and do the tag yourself- leave me a link to your autumnal posts in the comments and I'll have a read of them too! Thanks to Georgina again for creating this tag, and shoutout to Fee and her answers.

Love,
Emily

The other week I was lucky enough to be nominated for a Liebster Award by the lovely Katy, and yesterday, I was nominated again by Meryl, who runs the amazing blog The Next Activity.  Meryl posts beautiful pictures (I am very jealous of her camera skills) and I love reading all her posts about what she's been doing. So if you haven't already- check her out! I 100% think you will LOVE her.

So since I've already done one blog post, I've been deliberating how to do this post- another post in full, or link my another post. I've decided to do half and half- I plan to answer the questions that Meryl has set her nominees (mostly because they're so good I couldn't resist) but for the other parts of this award, I will link you to my original post. Which is totally awesome, and not at all long.. yeah right.

So the rules are as follows...

1. Thank and link back to the blogger who nominated you.
2. Write 11 facts about yourself
3. Answer the 11 questions given to you
4. Nominate bloggers with less than 200 followers, who you think deserves this award and let them know you've nominated them
5. Leave a set of 11 questions for those blogs to answer

1. As above
2. Because I am very uncreative, you can read those facts that took me ages to think of here
3. The questions set by the lovely Meryl...

What is/ was your first job?

Aside from babysitting and child minding jobs that I've been doing (and still am) for a few years now, I had a couple of weeks working in Accessorize, as a summer temp, and I would love to work there again, if only for the discount on all the lovely pieces they have.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

Initially I was going to say Turkey, because I desperately want to go travelling there, but I'm not sure if I would live there.. I'm not quite sure where, but I know I want somewhere hot!

What's your favourite skin care item?

I really love using The Body Shop's Tea Tree range. Especially their face wash, which I found immediately cleared up my skin when I started using it.

Who was your childhood crush?

First crush crush was a boy that I had known since I was born- our families were good friends- and I fancied the pants off of him throughout primary school too. First celebrity crush was most likely Cole Sprouse, as I was obsessed with The Suit Life of Zac and Cody.

Did you have a favourite subject at school?

I have always been one who loves history based subjects. I could not get enough of History- but most of the topics were modern history- so I found I had quite a flare for Classical Studies and Latin. I would probably say Latin was my favourite.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

This year.. Hmmm... Since its now officially over half way through the year, I think its acceptable to say Christmas already.

What's your favourite book?

The Hunger Games Trilogy has always been a favourite of mine- I've read it countless times over the years. More recently, I've really enjoyed The Lovely Bones.

How would you spend your Sunday?

I like Sundays being lazy- go to church in the morning, then a walk in the afternoon, or a little poke around town. Nothing too hectic or requiring too much effort.

Where's your next holiday?

My next holiday abroad has been booked, very far in advance, to Magaluf for next August (organised I know) with my little sister Eleanor. I am very excited!

What inspired you to start blogging?

I started because I wanted to make a little journal type thing of what I do and my thoughts, I love reading what other people do, so I thought why not!?

Singer/ band that you can't get enough of right now?

Right now, 5 Seconds of Summer, they're new album is out which I currently have on replay every day.

4./5. As I already nominated blogs, I thought I'd link their Liebster Award posts for people to have a look at, which includes my questions. Some of the girls haven't posted it yet though, in which case I linked their blog.

Paula from Thirteen Thoughts

Alyssa from Optimism Proposal

Kelsey from Not A Fashion Blogger

Catherine from Skylish Beauty

Laura from My Wee Sweet Pea

So there's my take on this Liebster Award Nomination. Please take a look at my first post here, there you'll see my random facts, even more question answers and my list of questions for those bloggers that I nominated. This is really a "get to know me" week!

Thank you once again Meryl and those of you who have read this second Liebster post.
I'm very thankful for the nominations, and love that I've gained some followers and started to speak to other bloggers that I wouldn't have known without this award. If you're not already following me on Bloglovin, I'd love it if you could here's a link to my blog profile.

Love,
Emily

Today's post is written with a HUGE thank you to Katy, who is actually a really close friend of mine. She runs a beautiful blog, which I urge you all to check out if you haven't already- here. Katy has very kindly nominated me for a Liebster Award, which I absolutely love the concept of.

I've been reading up on a lot of the posts of others who have been nominated, and its great to get to know people, most of whom I wouldn't have heard of before without this award. So, in short, I was really excited when Katy nominated me- I can share more silly little facts about me, and can hopefully recommend other blogs that some of you may not have heard of.

The rules are pretty simple.

1. Thank/ link the blogger who nominated me.
As above, but thank you Katy again!

2.Answer the 11 questions they have written for you.
Here goes!

What would be the name of your alter-ego?
