Blogmas Day 1 | The Christmas Tag

December 01, 2015

It's December! Can you believe it? I've been looking forward to this month ever since summer was over. December just makes me jolly - and I don't believe anyone who says it doesn't do the same to them.
So this year my uni schedule has been ridiculously busy and I haven't managed to get nearly enough posts up on my blog. So here's where it changes. This week I finish my semester, and have the whole of December to get into the Christmassy mood (even more). So surely that means I'll have plenty of time to blog? I hope so! So here's where I challenge myself, to take full part in Blogmas and get a post up every single day up till the big day. And if that's not enough then I'm also taking part in Vlogmas! My sister and I have decided to start up a wee youtube channel and start it off with lots of festive goodness. So please if you could, subscribe to our channel and be ready for Vlogmas Day one to go up tomorrow - Emily & Eleanor.

To start off Blogmas, I've decided to do the Christmas Tag to get those festive juices flowing.

 1.  What's your favourite Holiday movie?

My favourite has got to be the Santa Clause. Tim Allen is the perfect santa for me, and I love the way the North Pole is shown in the film. I start watching it around September and can watch is dozens of times in the run up. I can basically quote the whole movie!

2. What are you doing for the holidays this year?
I'm heading back home to Aberdeen, as usual, and spending the run up to Christmas with my family. A week before Christmas, I am heading to London which I'm super excited for. It looks incredible this time of year! (Please leave any suggestions of places to visit in the comments!)

3.What's your favourite holiday drink?
A hot chocolate for sure - with some cinnamon in it, and marshmallows!

4. Candy Cane or Gingerbread man?
Although I love gingerbread men and houses, I much prefer a Candy Cane. I think its because we always have them hanging on the tree so I can sneak one off and have it for a treat.

5. What's your favourite Christmas song?
I have quite a few, but the two that are top of the list are Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Darlene Love, and Parade of the Wooden Soldiers by the Crystals. But saying that, any Christmas song will make me happy.

6, What's the weirdest gift you've ever received?
I don't think I have been given a weird gift, at least not one that I remember!

7. Have you ever made a snowman?
Of course! Whenever it snows enough I'm out there sledging and making snowmen. I'm praying for lots of snow this year too.

8. What is your favourite winter smell?
Cinnamon. Anything cinnamon just makes me think Christmas!

9. What is top of your Christmas list this year?
Every year one of the things I look forward to most is the Carols by Candlelight service at my church. Its such a fun and heart warming service that I wouldn't dream of missing it.

10. What is the most important thing about the holidays to you?
Family. Spending time with the fam, visiting relatives and being all together at Christmas is by far the best thing.

I'd love to hear your answers to these questions too! If you have any ideas or suggestions for blogmas then let me know, I'd love some inspiration for this challenge so leave your blogmas links below too!

Love,
Emily
