Oversized Tartan Scarves | Wishlist

October 06, 2014

After doing some fashion posts for the teen blog series, and enjoying looking up different websites and picking out my favourite items, I thought I would start doing more fashion posts on my blog. And the first of which is a Wishlist of the oversized tartan scarves that seem to be in EVERY shop. They seem perfect for the colder weather that is setting in, and tartan is such a wintery look that these scarves are irresistible, and here's a list of my top 6 scarves I've spotted.

New Look, Red Tartan Check Reversible Oversized Scarf
£14.99

Whenever I see this pattern, I think of Christmas. The reds of this tartan have to be one of my favourites out there, and I think that this scarf looks like it would be super cosy to wear when it's cold out.

Missguided, Niaomi Tartan Dogtooth Reversible Scarf Navy
£15.99

I love the navy in this tartan as it makes it more subtle, and with the dogtooth print on the reverse, it's a scarf that looks like it could swallow you up in warmth. I am also a big fan of the width of the scarf, and I think it would go with so many styles of coats.

Topshop, Mixed Dogtooth Scarf
£22

Dogtooth is definetly on the rise this season, and this scarf ticks all e boxes with the monochrome colours too. What I really love about this one is the flashes of blue through it which adds something different to it, and gives a subtle twist to the monochrome.

Asos, Grey Tartan Check Scarf
£16

To me, this looks like the perfect autumn scarf; the material looks lighter and could be worn with light weight coats before the winter creeps up. The lighter tones of the scarf also gives me the "autumnal feeling" as it has more grey and the bold, large print on it. I love the amount of material that this scarf has- it looks ideal for wrapping around heaps of times and keeping your neck so cosy.

Accessorize, Tamsine Check Blanket Scarf
£19

I think that the duller tones of this scarf, with the highlights of peach through it, screams winter scarf to me. Looking at that scarf, I'd be surprised if anyone said it doesn't look like the warmest thing you could put around your neck.

What scarf would you like most out of this list, or let me know of scarves you've bought or love- I feel there is a HUGE gap in my wardrobe just waiting to be filled with some oversized scarves!

Love,
Emily
