My staple outfits

February 28, 2014

Having to go to the uni campus nearly everyday, and seeing the same people in the classes makes outfit repeating quite difficult, and I always feel guilty if I do. But, being a cheap student and not buying much clothes, I've fallen into a trap where I wear the same few outfits, alternating days. So I thought I'd show the outfits that I've been loving and wearing lots these past few weeks!

This first one is very simple and for days that I can't really be bothered. My hair is in a pony tail, out of my face, and I'm wearing a simple long sleeved white top, with navy high wasted jeans. I team it with my burgundy converse for a little bit of colour, and my gold necklace, from accessorize, to dress it up a bit.

This next ensemble is what I think of as my "sound of music look". I paired one of my older dresses, from Topshop, with a grey long sleeved top underneath for a layered look. I also wear it with woolly tights and either brown brogues or black pumps. What I like about it is that its really casual, but has some nice details like the lace waist belt, the floral pattern and buttons down the front.

I really like my next outfit because my sisters gave me the jumper for Christmas (its from Republic), and I feel like its perfect for uni. Its really cosy so I can just wear it with no top underneath, or if its a particularly cold I can add a t-shirt under it and no one is any the wiser. I usually wear it with leggings and pumps or tuck it into a black skater skirt. I love that the neck line has the jewels and beads, because it makes it look a bit more fancy, and add a little something to the whole outfit.

One of my favourite outfits that I wear whenever I'm catching up with people that I haven't seen for a while is this dress and jumper. As you can tell I'm quite into my jumpers and I just love this baby blue colour that this jumper has (from Primark). I team it with a black dress, which has a skater skirt at the bottom, which gives the look a baggy effect, or I wear it with a top underneath (for modesty) and a body con skirt, which makes it look a little more sophisticated. I also add this Primark necklace to it, because I love how chunky it is.
Finally, my favourite outfit that I've put together. Another jumper is involved here, again from Primark, but this one is a baby pink colour. I wear it alongside a black pair of leggings, and my brown Chelsea boots. I usually add a necklace too, and I've found that this shorter gold one from Miss Selfridge goes best as it is still quite subtle.
Thanks for reading guys, I did try to get full length pictures, but since I don't have a long mirror in my flat and can't position my camera, these will have to do.
On a side note, I just wanted to say thank you to those of you who have been reading, I got really excited at the amount of views on my last post, and to see people are reading it from different countries is actually surreal. I am planning to post fairly frequently, as and when I can, so follow me on bloglovin or twitter for updates!
Thank you !! xxxx
